Pregnancy can come as a great surprise if you were hoping for a baby, or a bit of a shock if you were not planning one right now. If you aren’t sure whether you are pregnant or not, its better to find out for certain one way or the other.

How Will I Know?

Everyone's body is different so the very early signs of pregnancy are not always the same for each person. There are some more common changes that may mean you are pregnant,  maybe you have experienced one or more of the following:

  • Missing one or more periods
  • Tender or swollen breasts
  • Needing to go to the loo more often
  • Feeling/getting sick in the mornings or at other times of the day
  • Feeling more tired and sleepy than usual
  • Putting on weight

While any of these could be signs of pregnancy, they could also be caused by other things. Some people don’t notice anything at all in the early few weeks or months.

Find out for sure.

It is important, if you think there’s a chance that you might be pregnant, to take a pregnancy test. The sooner you know the sooner you can make sure to look after yourself and get the help that you need.
