Your Growing Toddler

toddler and father

During your baby's first year, he/she grew and changed a lot.  In the second year, as your baby becomes a toddler even more changes will take place. The toddler stage is usually a time of very obvious development, your baby masters walking and begins to talk and learn new words and how to use them. This is a time when your baby becomes more independent,  moving much faster and reaching things more easily. As a parent, you will have to learn to move even faster than your baby!.

Your baby is unique!

Encourage and allow your toddler to explore and learn about new things, but at their own pace and in a safe way. Each child is different and may master skills at different times. Try not to compare your toddler to others the same age, they will often be quite different. Have fun doing things together and give your toddler lots of opportunities to learn and grow. You will be your toddler's best teacher, he/she will learn about the world from you.
